Waylon Jones, known as Killer Croc, is a DC Comics character defined by his reptilian appearance and monstrous strength. A rare genetic condition resembling epidermolytic hyperkeratosis causes his skin to gradually harden and take on a crocodile-like texture and appearance.

This condition, coupled with a brutal childhood spent in orphanages, warped Jones's mind, leading him to embrace his monstrous appearance. He began his criminal career as a sideshow attraction and strongman, quickly turning to more violent pursuits.
